Level One
In this module, participants delve into early career clinical challenges, explore diverse theoretical frameworks, and learn about trauma-informed practices. Participants can expect to gain skills and insights useful for navigating early career challenges from a trauma-informed, relational perspective.
The goal of level one is to equip you with the skills to accurately identify a client's state from a nervous system or neurological perspective, develop the language to confidently educate clients on these concepts, and learn which interventions are most effective at each stage of therapy. A secondary goal is to connect and begin to develop relationships in the community.
Theoretical Focus: this approach centers on somatic-based practices, polyvagal theory, trauma-informed neuroscience, and relational frameworks.
Practical Focus: the emphasis is on psychoeducation and developing a comprehensive vocabulary to educate clients through a trauma-informed perspective.
Structure: group style will rotate from psychoeducation, case review/dissemination, Q & A, and small groups (to connect and get to know your colleagues).
